| WHAT |

A/CULTURE is a conversation about art & culture with today’s culture makers.  We are interested in engaging in a discourse that challenges & expands our cultural literacy. We are equally as fascinated with the highbrow as we are the lowbrow. We love Roland Barthes. & don’t even get us started on Ryan Gosling.

     | WHO |

We could be anybody.  You know that person you spilled your martini on? Whose foot you stepped on yesterday on the train? The person who either accepted or rejected your last submission, who curated that art exhibition or poetry/fiction/nonfiction reading? That's us, the editors of A/CULTURE. We remain anonymous to  each other, our readers, as well as those we interview.

    | WHY |

Interviews are not competition. Our editors understand that this is about the questions being asked, not being the one who gets to ask them. It's about content, not fame. We believe the anonymity of our contributing editors allows greater freedom in both the questions asked & the responses given. Our goal is to give truth & inquiry complete reign. Only the identities of those interviewed will ever be disclosed. As Joan Osbourne so adeptly put it, what if god was one of us?*

*Full disclaimer, there are no gods at A/CULTURE.
